Hey,

I know this seems the wrong forum to post in, but the sales forum goes by so fast and the rules of the sales forum say not to talk about the price. I am wondering, does the price of this seem reasonable or too expensive?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI....E:L:LCA:GB:1123

I'm not selling it for any dodgy reason, so I think it's reasonable? It's hard to tell though.

When you are selling such a big package, it's difficult to find someone who needs ALL of that stuff. You will do better to break it into smaller lots.

Thanks, if it doesn't sell in an hour and a half I'll break it down.

*edit*.

It didn't sell, so. About breaking it down... Do you think the helicopter should be sold basically as you pick it up (with the canopy, engine, servos, battery etc). Or to disassemble it?

If so, how much would you recommend as a starting price?

I recenty sold a decent spec Freya 90, got about £350 for it RTF minus receiver if I recall so £1000 is well over priced.

I would try and sell the airframe with engine and muffler, then give options for the servos, gyros etc. http://www.bmfaclassifieds.co.uk is worth a try to sell it. Whilst these helis are good, they're worth very little as you can get a brand new TRex 700 kit for £400.

Dyna-x, Knight 503D, Logo 10,
TRex 500, Furion, Gaui EP200

The frame itself is only a quarter of the cost of stuff.

I can take criticism, but your post is just stating the obvious now the bidding has ended. If I put it up for sale for 1 pound, I'm quite sure someone would have bought it.

My question is, what seems like a reasonable price?

I must say, I wasn't expecting such a low price. 350 won't even pay for 4 servos and the battery I put in it.

Was yours in heavily used condition? This has had about 3 gallons go through it, at rich settings.

Thanks for your reply, I'll take that into consideration.

point of the matter is, to be honest, that used gear (even if it is slightly used) don't sell for much anyway UNLESS it's an in demand item (i.e. special blades, servos, gyros, engines etc...)

from a UK point of view the Freya is worth almost nothing in this country. Sorry about that, but it's the truth. Helis are a dim a dozen now if you know what I mean. It's all these different models that buyers can choose from, they're literally spoilt for choice....

If you had a Vibe SG or a Hirobo Turbulence, or a Srimok, believe me it will be out of the door fast. It's all down to what gets people excited and what they want, and I know that unfair and fickle but that's how it is...

it doesn't matter how good the gear inside is
or how little it has flown
the freya doesn't make much on the secondhand market
between £300 - £500 is all you will get for it
and i'm not anti hirobo/freya
i fly one and its a great heli but i know i'll never get a good price for it if i decide to sell it
if you want to compare it with a 700 i sold my bare airframe on ebay and made a loss of £40 on the kit cost from new

Yeah I still fail to understand how you can totally dismiss the gear when there's over £2000 of it. From a buyers point of view, the model itself is very little.

What do you think of selling the engine, servos, gyro, govenor, muffler, battery, regulator - together.
Transmitter, receiver, - together.
Air frame plus upgrades and canopy.

Selling the starter, with the rob hex shaft, and the two lead acid batteries together.

Then selling the other odd stuff, on their own or with the trex 250.

I would recommend that you sell the engine, servos, gyro, govnr, reg and muffler all separately. Those go for a fairly high price on ebay.

As for the airframe, you'd be lucky to get 200 GBP for it I'm afraid. I have bought 2 NIB Freya's on ebay each for 150 GBP. Great for spares!

Good luck!

I agree with Dan-UK. As per my original post, you might want to try selling the air frame with engine and muffler, with options for servos, gyro etc. but it is likely to be easier to shift this stuff if sold separately and offering options is tricky on Fleabay, hence the suggestion to use BMFA.

Thanks, I'm giving it one last shot with just the helicopter and what is included inside of it. Sometimes you get the odd lucky buyer. It wasn't much to put it up for auction. If this fails, this last time. I will dismantle it and sell things separately.

I'd be happy with 150 on the air frame if I got a reasonable deal on the radio gear etc. They are all in great condition.

Thanks all for the advice.

Just a thought, why not put it on for 99p with a reserve, that way you can see what people are bidding up to.
