I was flying with a Spektrum DX7 without issues, however, because of a repair issue with the DX7 and I wanted to fly, I purchased a JR X9393 2.4 radio.
With governor and gyro sense inhibited, I used to connect the gyro sensitivity connector to channel 5 and used the gear switch to switch between heading and non-heading hold. Also, used the travel adjust menu to adjust the gain of the gyro via rudder channel end points.
The governor was linked to the flight mode switch and I was able to control the preset rpm of the governor with each flight mode.
With the governor and gyro sense active, I would then need to use the Rudder D/R instead of the Gear switch to switch between heading and non-heading hold. I'll also need to adjust gyro gain by using the gyro sense menu.
As for the governor, I would need to set norm, stunt1, and stunt2 to 100%, 0%, and -100% to control the rpm via flight mode switch.
I would also need to move the governor and gyro connectors connected to the receiver.
My inquiry is this; what are the opinions on using the governor and gyro sense menu compared inhibiting the governor and gyro sense menus? Would there be advantages/disadvantages to using one method over the other?
Opinions and suggestions welcome...
