We at TRIAX|AERIAL wanted to take a moment to update you on some of the new developments that have been happening in our camp a few items to cover are new management, revised TRIAX|lite and finally TRIAX|cms.
Firstly TRIAX|AERIAL is now under new management. The new management team found that it needed to address email communication to bring a better experience to our current line of customers as well as our future customers. Firstly under old management we had experienced a number of issues with our email server and email communication. Second TRIAX|lite has undergone a upgrade. The new design is being cut as we speak. The new TRIAX|lite is the same physical outer size, but has nearly an 1" more room vertically for larger cameras. The new TRIAX|lite is also anodized black and red and incorporates a few minor changes to more easily accept TRIAX|cms. We will be ready to ship the new TRIAX|lite in roughly 3 weeks but more importantly we will be keeping a small stock of them available to reduce the 3 week build and construction period.
Finally TRIAX|cms. We teased TRIAX|cms about a month back. I am happy to say that we are nearing the final stages of development. Here is where we stand. TRIAX|cms is single unit that is full 3 axis stabilization(this is no substitute for a poorly tuned helicopter). TRIAX|cms has several modes.
-Mode 1 is Roll + Nik stabilization only. In this mode TRIAX|cms will maintain the initialized roll and nik attitude be it flat and level, or tilted down/up and roll left/right.
-Mode 2 is Pan lock plus roll/nik stabilization. This mode locks the pan yaw axis to the initialized heading.
-Mode 3 is radio + stabilization control. This mode is similar to mode 1 but you have the ability to override the initialized state on the fly and still have stabilization.
TRIAX|cms works by the user first setting the desired orientation they wish TRIAX|cms to maintain. Depending on the mode you are working it this will be pan, tilt, and roll, or just tilt and roll axis. Once you set the desired orientation of your camera you put TRIAX|cms into initialze mode. TRIAX|cms will then learn its current state. Once learned TRIAX|cms will try to maintain that learned state regardless of external motion.
Below is a sample video of TRIAX|cms in use with Pan lock enabled. This video is slightly boring but note how regardless of the helicopters yaw orientation the camera stays facing down the learned yaw axis(this is not a object tracking feature, but rather yaw axis lock).Please note that this video is raw, unedited not deshaked and was purposefully flown on a out of tune helicopter with no vibration isolation during un-ideal windy condition. Also note at the time of filming he had a slight delay on the roll axis every now and then. This issue has since been resolved.
