Test flew my logo 700 for the first time yesterday.
Was running 10S 4350 packs through a Scorpion 4035-560 and Jive controller.
Had installed a new mikado 17 tooth herringbone pinion for 6mm motor shaft.
Was checking the model over after its innitial flight, and found that the pinion had started to come apart. About a 2mm gap had appeared between the / and \ teeth.
Has anyone else suffered this? and did you just return the pinion or try a repair.

I have only ever done it on one, and that was only because i kept flying after the main gear had striped out.
I didnt repair mine i bought a new one.
If its new just return it to your supplyer for a replacement.

I assume this is an older style that is "NOT" laser welded? Ask your vendor to provide you with the new style which came out about 6-7 months ago which is laser welded. BTW with that motor combo, Mod 1.0 11 tooth is perfet ratio for 700 project, .

...Once upon a time there were Nitros, flybars and frequency pins...

Thanks for the tip on the latest pinions.
Planning to go mod 1.0 and 11 tooth if (when) it strips, but wanted to see what performance I got at less than 2000rpm first. (Not disapointed )
Planning to contact the dealer I bought it from tomorrow to see what they say, but pretty certain they will be happy to replace it. I have got the countergear assembly for a 6mm shaft, so might be worth fitting that as it should stop it happening again.
