Hi all:
I want to try a flybarless electric machine, and I´m thinking in one of these birds.
What would you recommend me. Is the 500 more stable than 400?
Would you tell me the flight differences between the two helis.

Thanks

The 400 swings 425mm blades stock and the 500 swings 550mm blades stock. The 500 will be more stable than the 400.....Ron

I know the lenght of the blades, but it is my first v-stabi heli so I want to know if the difference of stability is big or if it is little because the use of a vbar system.
I think that the stability of a logo 400 and 500 witouth vbar would be big, but I dont how it would be when vbar is used.

Thanks

I've had both and prefer the 400, which I still fly. Don't know if I can explain it, but the 400 is just more fun. It does have less flight time than the 500. I am getting pretty close running the Hyperion 3300mah G3 VX series compared to a 5000mah pack on the 500. This is with the standard Hacker powerset on the 400. The 500 probably is a tiny bit more stable than the 400, but the 400 is plenty stable and can be made more so by tuning the vbar a little. I ran it with the default presets that comes with version 4.0. I've got a mini-vbar on it now and I'm tweaking the settings just a little.

I have had both too, but like the L500 more than the 400. The 400 flew well, just wasn't too crazy about the design. Wish Mikado would of designed the frames exactly like the L500 & 600, maybe space was limited. I didn't care for the tails design (gear drive)and the servo layout. The L400 does fly well though. I think it has more parts too.. I don't think you'd be disapointed in either.

If you stick a V-Bar on it, a 500 will be as quick or quicker than a flybarred 400, plus you gain the extra stability of the larger rotor disc.

My Logo 500 is definitely my favourite heli at the moment, but that may change with VBar 4.0 on the 600.

I have a trex 600 nitro vbar, trex 500 vbar, rave 450 mini vbar, and the logo 500 vbar is my current favorite heli.

It is as stable if not more stable than my trex 600 vbar, and it tracks better as well.
