I was wondering, which one is more fun to fly , i am going to use models as example to refer to sizes, which one : Blade mcx or pantera 50 ,I thought for a second that the smaller helicopter (well here its ultra micro !!) is more fun to fly since its cheaper to repair and friendlier, but no adrenaline involve here , however the big beast ones more action and more risk involve, so what do you guys think ?????!

New addiction in the house ! Quad, hexa copters !!

It all depends on what you yourself think. No one can make that decision for you. Me, the bigger the better.

mCX is like you said kinda fun but no rush at all. 50 size is where it's at. After about 12 cases of fuel is where the real fun begins.

Have Fun!!!!!

It is like the others said, if you the kind of guy that just wants to take it easy and cruise around, the mCX is great and relaxing, and small enough you can do it in the comfort of your house.

But if you are like most of us, you want more of a rush when you fly. And the mCX is great at first, but after the "new" wears off, you will not find it as exciting, and be wanting more.

But that does not mean you have to go to a giant nitro either. A 450 sized machine is fully capable, and will certainly give you a challenge and a rush for a long time to come. And the crash cost is much less than the big birds.

But... if your the kind of guy that always has to get the next step up. You might be cheaper in the long run just to go straight to a nitro bird and save the money of all the in between steps. They cost more to crash, but since they are more stable, you will probably crash less.

So you just have to look at yourself and determine what kind of person you are, what you can afford, and what gets you jiuces flowin'

the bigger the better
+1

Electric gives you more options to fly in a limited area. Otherwise get the biggest one you can afford!

MCX is a toy, a big heli is not !
( this in general )

Although, you may find T-Rex 250s and GAGUIS, fun starts at 450s !!

Toys are an introduction to our hobby in many cases and; if you like low adrenaline no rush kind of flight, you will love to fly nitro scales, believe me !!

my two cents.

This is a very subjective question but personally I love my Trex 500.
I have an MCX and play with it alot.Heavy on the "Play".

I've had Trex 600's,500's and 450's.
I still have a 450 and have a ball with it but I hardly ever land it on purpose.lol...I always get carried away with it.No real money involved so very little respect for it

I literally never use the word literally right.

I almost salivate at the thought of my next opportunity to fly the 50. Sometimes during the day I will catch a wiff of a combination of odors that end up smelling like nitro being burned. And I almost salivate. I pre-plan my next nitro flight session, and when I am actually doing it, I am happy.

Can't think of a single time I ever felt that way about my coax.

Somewhere in the middle is how I feel about the 450. I enjoy it, but I stopped really looking forward to it once the nitro came into the picture....

so the conclusion is : 50 size nitro (scale for me at least) is the way to go, have a lot of fun , enjoy the realistic look , get the moderate (reasonable) adrenaline pumped

Pantera over the MCX. A 50 size nitro is a lot more fun to me than those little electrics...to me.

I certainly have not explored its full capabilities, but flying the little Blade mSR is a blast! Don't get me wrong... My Freya(YS-80) gets my heart beating (too fast, I need more medication each time I fly it...) The little mSR is fast and requires one to be on his/her toes when flying it in the wife's living room. Using her baby grand for touch-and-go's certainly has not engendered her total support for my activities! The blades, as they tickle the crystal in the chandelier, elicit a, "Ben, what the h$%% are you doing?!" every time.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that fun can be had with any sized helicopter. That's what makes this sport so satisfying.
