Our local hobby shop already have the OS55HZ, but the price is close to US$270. It's priced almost as the OS91HZ

I'd just buy 30% nitro fuel and lean my reliable Hyper50 more

IYKIST: You're right, they know people would still buy them even if they cost as much as the 90 engines

Oh that engine. The KME is in interesting little beast with the all billet construction. But I dont know if I would be willing to be another betta tester again though. I got bit by two different companies because I wanted the latest and greatest and bought it when it first came out. That goes for any company

Thats exactly my point I got the YS50st for $100 cheaper than what the new engines are going to cost. Not to metion exhaust for them. Now when my new engine eventually dies the prices should be more reasonable... I hope.

I look forward to seeing some of these engines at the field to see how they perform.

Thanks, T.J.

Those of you who are content with 50 engines, all I can say is good for you.

After flying 90's for a while, the little 50 class helis just feel too weak! If I could easily fit an OS70 in my 50 size helis, I would have long ago. I'm super excited about the new engines like the YS56, OS55 and even the KME 60. It will realy make a big difference.

If you doubt this and have the Realflight or another user adjustable sim, try editing one of the stock helis that use an OS 50 Hyper by increasing the entire torque curve by 10%, and making the blades 630mm. Off the hook. Almost 90 territory!

To those who b1tch about the cost, remember it takes just as much machining and tool equipment to make a 50 as it does a 90 engine. Naturally they should cost about the same. The 10 cents difference in materials doesn't matter squat.
