Additionally, microconroller performance is growing by leaps and bounds.
True enough! My I-Phone has more computational power and memory than my first 3 computers combined. Totally, inconceivable that an on/off setting would affect performance. However, I, like most, only need three speeds - two if I don't govern Normal mode.

The only issue with implementing on/off using a separate channel is that it does require another channel on the RX. Probably no biggie as I believe the GV-1 did the same thing.

Finally got to fly and try out the MultiGov. Had it set for 1800 rpm in the Normal mode and it tached right on. I almost feel cheated because I didn't have to tinker with it. No worries,,,,, just fly!
