Guys... I'm not recovering physically from IRCHA... actually I am recovering from all the "real" work I missed while I was in Muncie for two weeks. Unfortunately, my clients needs dont stop just because I'm away...

Oh.. take your time, Joe. I don't need to see in print (and shown to the entire runryder community) just how bad I did.. Haha. Didn't represent my team too well, unfortunately.

Haha.. just teasin'. I'll look forward to seein' 'em when you get time.

Dave, please don't blaim yourself from what happened, it was MY fault for not correcting and CALLING THE CARD AS I SHOULD HAVE. We both got sidetrack with the manuever direction rather than the sequence. I am very sorry for costing you the spot.
Let me clear, that there is no talking/coaching between the pilot and caller, but since I was calling 3 for guys, and in class one the manuevers can be done in either direction, I asked for the direction of the next manuever and jumped the card.

There is no doubt you flew well enough to place 3rd or better.

I hope everyone else understands how important a caller is!
During the AMA Nats, it happened to my backwards. I wrote the wrong sequence before the 1st round of Class III, and my caller never called the sequence so he was unaware of my mistake. LUCKILY, I heard him called the wrong manuever, and before he said another word I realize I wrote it wrong, and corrected it, he announce the correct manuever and we proceded the flight as normal.

Later rounds before and after my flights, my caller(s) gave me great advice on many little things. George and Tom were absolutely invaluable.

Santiago,

I said going into this I wanted to do it for experience alone and I got way more than expected out of the experience. No prize can replace that! Don't for one second think you took anything away from this experience for me. Remember you were the one who spent a good two hours working with me that afternoon.

I made some new friends, learned alot about setup and got to feel what it's like to compete. I was upset at myself for a few days but then reminded myself I didn't do this for some prize. I got way more than I hoped for and can't wait to try it again.

In fact I'm working with 3-4 guys at my club and all of us are making the commitment to fly in the Nats next year. They all watched me do it and now want to experience it for themselves.

Here i am one of those guys pulling up a year old post. Anyway i was pretty excited when i woke up this afternoon and found a very large box sitting at my back door.

My Rave 90 i won in the class I contest last year showed up today. Of course i had to run off to work but not before i pulled the canopy out, Looks great!!

Thanks to Curtis and of course Brian for getting the kit out to me. I also wanted to thank Joe C. Not only did i win a heli because of his class I contest last year. It also sparked my interest in contest flying and i competed in my fist NATS this year.

I actually have a few days off this weekend so it will give me a chance to build the heli. I would like to maybe fly it in the last HPAC contest in late September.

Congrats Dave. It's like an early Xmas for ya. Hope you have a good build and do well with your future contest flying. Looking to increasing my focus on FAI this upcoming season, so maybe we'll cross paths someday.
