Mikado 580mm blades are no problem for a stretched 10. In fact I've stretched a Logo 10 to run 690mm (on 0.7 module gears of course) for AP flying. It was the lightest 700 class AP ship I've ever seen! Did great for many months believe it or not.

for ap you could probably go 600s if you have the right boom and belt legnth, the 620mm boom is good for 550s,if your boom is longer than that you could run 600s.i dont know anything about those servos but go with something metal geared for blgger blades

ok so i need a longer boom and belt and my servos may not have enough torque
would i need to use something like the logo 600s boom? or is it wider
logo 24?
anyone done this?

IMO 600mm blades and a Logo 10 head = bad idea. The head really need to be beefier at that point. That being said, 550-560s and the standard stretch will be awesome.....Ron

Isn't the L10 head the same as the L500 head? I know people stretch those to use 600s all the time like with the 500SE. Maybe I'm wrong here though. Do you know?

Depends. Some if the older Logo 10s had smaller grips than the Logo 500 and would not be suitable for 600mm blades. If it has the latest head (right before the 500 came out) then maybe. There is a reason the Logo 600, which is designed to swing 600mm blades, has a beefier head than the 500. Personally I would not do it.......Ron

how can i tell what head i have?
it looks bigger then my hdx500's head.
with the head size im guessing the main worry is throwing a blade? would using metal grips help that and what tail would it need anyway?
I will take a pic or two as soon as i can

I have some of the old grips that I got with a parts bird and they are really different looking. They are smaller and have 3mm bolt holes. The old head looked very much like the Swift head does(I think the swift was a Mikado copy) The New ones are much beefier looking and use 4mm bolts.

so what do you think Ron
would i be good to go bigger (600mm)
or do you feel im asking for trouble
and any idea what tail to use
right now i believe im running a logo 14 tail (gear attached to the boom that drives the belt in the boom)

Logo 10 stretch
The biggest I would go it 560mm blades. If you want 600mm blades, I wouls go with a different head or upgrade that FBL head with a L600 VBAR head and then do with 600mm blades but that would be pushing it IMO. That airframe is just not designed for that large of blades (bearings, bracing, etc).........Ron
