I've been doing some research on servo gear types, digital vs. analog, etc.

I originally wanted to try the HS65MG's. But have used the 65HB's and like them alot.

I have a set of 5065MG digitals, but don't want to have to incure the cost of replacing those gears... Ideally, If I could put the carbonite gears in these when they would need replacing - I would likely keep them. Anyone tried this or know if this works.

I've read that the Nylon gears wear better than metal, unless they are titanium. And that the Karbonite has the best wear, with maybe the exception of the titanium.

Ideally, I would like a digital servo with karbonite gears, which is why I would like to know if they would work in the 5065's.

As a side note - I have a LTG-3100 tail servo with a broken mounting tab. I hear that Hitec made this servo for Logitec? Is there a hitec servo case that is compatible?

What heli are you talking about? Thought about the Align servos yet? REALLY like them. Have the 620's all around my Knight 600E. For the price you can't beat them.

I really would just like to know if I can use the Karbonite gears.

I have an email to Hitec about it. Otherwise, I may just give it a shot and see. The cases look the same.

FlaG8r, since richord is talking about HS5065, he is probably building a 450 or 250 size heli. 620 is not going to fit.

ricord, Align's offering in micro servo is 410. I have never used it my self, but if they are every bit as good as their 610/620 servo, it would be far better then Hitec's offering. By the way, not sure about 410, but Align 610/620 does come with Titanium gear.
