I've jury rigged my gf cordless sweeper battery to charge on my lipo charger, and just curious what volts would be considered a fully charged 4.8V nicd? It's been charging for about 20 minutes and it's at 6.4 volts now

Also, can you charge subc nicds at 2C?

1.45 per cell is usually full, so I'd say your there and then some.

When NiXX batteries get full they start converting the excess energy to heat, but the voltage should be around 5.5-6V I would guess on a 4.8V pack. As for charge rate I would keep it below .5A. I know the sub-C cells for my RC18 get really unhappy at anything above that and the manual states .5A max. That is what I know.
