Hey,

Does anyone know of a 135 or 140 ccpm swash conversion for the Trex 700? I've seen the 600/135 kit from GForce, but would like to try one for the 700.

Cheers,

PT

Something the matter with 120 or do you just want to tinker? Because with decent servos you really won't see a difference.

It's no big deal, just a side project that uses similar dimensions to a Trex 700. Just trying to optimize performance from a wider airframe; all the 140/135 swashes are quite narrow, and don't really translate well to the 700's 60mm+ chassis.

Cheers,

Patrick

Also you might look at placing the levers inside the frames..
Not sure it would clear tho...

Thanks fellas, I think it worked itself out. I stood overtop of the heli for a bit, and after looking at every bloody set-up, there was an easy fix.
I'll be staying with the full JR Vibe 90 SG head, swash & control link combo at 140. By pushing the aileron T-Cranks out to the outside of the frame, the servo layout stays similar to the Trex. By cutting away the frame, (and reinforcing), then extending the T-Crank balls back to the original geometry, the 140 layout remains unchanged.
The first thing I've noticed, is that with so much width, the servos can be kept at 90's, and packed tightly within the frame. It makes for a very "tight" package, leaving gobs of room for other aspects of the airframe, like batts/bec/esc/RX etc.

I'll have some formal CAD renders up in my gallery by the end of the week. Thanks for all the pm's fellas'; much appreciated.

Patrick
