I do aerial photography with my stretched T600, swinging 710 mm blades.
My head speed is approximately 1600 RPM.

I would like to install 810 mm blades on the same bird, to bring the head speed down to 1300 RPM, and reduce the blade loading.

But stock T600 grips are 12 mm, while 810 mm blades are all 14 mm rooted.

Question: will the T600 accept the T700 blade grip without modification?

Here's the specs:

Trex 600 Blade Grips
Spindle = 8 mm
Root space = 12 mm
Blade Bolt = 4 mm
Stock Blade = 600 mm

Trex 700 Blade Grips
Spindle = 8 mm
Root space = 14 mm
Blade bolt = 5 mm
Stock Blade = 710 mm to 810 mm

Anyone done this before? Is it possible?
Any input would be much appreciated.

If you were able to find what you're looking for, how are you going to prevent the 800mm rotor blades from striking the tail rotor blades on a stretched 600?

Will a T700 tail boom fit the 600 or is it a different diameter?

Well according to product specs Inner and Outer OD are the same.
Hmmm! I'll have to try this when I get home.

If I recall correctly, you can fit the 700 boom and TT but you need to shorten the boom by approx 25mm. It does not fit into the 600 tail drive box as far as it does on the 700.

Once tried, you'll never go back.

Longer boom and longer blades gives more stability. For guys like me doing aerial photography, it also means lower head speed, less vibration and longer flight times.
also is the spindle that holds the grips on the 700 larger then the 600's ?
It appears to be so. Both use 8mm spindles.

That said, anyone who has both the T600 and T700 - are the blade grips interchangeable?

Correction:
The T700 spindle is 10 mm
The T600 spindle is 8 mm

They are not interchangeable, unfortunately.

Best to just get a 700 and build it as light as possible. That way you won’t run into and strength or safety problems.
