My Heli pro, at Elwood Hobbies here on Long Island, said, forget about the gyro tape that comes with the Mini-G, it's too stiff and go with the Futaba tape.

I have mine with one tape, then the metal plate and then one more Futaba tape. I'll fly it tomorrow and I will report back, after I'm all dialed in.

cheers

Ok I get little drifting, while in flight, nose left, tail right

No drift in Rate Mode, gain 98% Normal Flying Mode and Idle Up 1 & 2 with 100% flat curve. Aux 2 channel on the DX 7 end points is 100% and RUD channel is 120% with a nice piro rate.

With a Futaba 9254 on the tail of my 500. Do you guys run this servo in "Fast" or "Very Fast" on the G-View? Or it doesn't matter?

Make sure that your rudder trims and sub trims are centered in all flight modes. If you get no change than you can always restore the Mini-G back to the factory default setting and setup your gyro again. Sometimes you may change a setting on the Mini-G and not realize it.

Sometimes the settings change without you doing anything

Been hit by that once and it did seem like a one-off case.

There was one flight where my stops suddenly went completely horrible both ways and my left/right piros were severely unequal.

I did a reset and all was well again.

And no, I did not use a Gview to change any of the gyro's parameters.
