sweet fender!!!!

You fly that Atom like you would the king or the old BCPP thats awesome. You are comfortable with your skills enough to fly all your helis the same. I can already tell when you learn to fly for real you'll have that smooth transition where 3D looks like art instead of just hardcore stickbanging. I hate the jerky stickbanging stuff.

thanks, thats why I put the more advanced stuff on semi-hold and concentrated on backwards flight and inverted hovers,I want precision and control before anything else.the rest will come and when it does I will have the smoothness already there.I could be doing tic tocs if i wanted but I am staying the course, once i have the inverted hovers and backwards down a little better I will move on to the next level.and besides, this way I am ready for scale flight if I get off my butt and finish that JET RANGER

I still have my little jet ranger ready to snap on its nice but I can only imagine what a big scale one will look like a little more bashing on my Raptor and it will get a civillian bell222 with retracts and all the bells and whistles. Just dont want to let go of $450 for a fuse!!!!

Oh and by the way I got six of them airplane lipos coming from PerformancePlusRC the new G2 packs are only $32 shipped thats as good as zippy's.

its the hitec gyro/9257 combo and its working well.the KBDD blades also made a NOTICABLE difference in the holding power, but even better is that along with the hold, the stops are smooth.the hitec can be a little bouncy with some set ups.I am really happy with this set up right now.I was thinking of getting a futaba 520,but I may wait now.

I also have 2 more 6s batts on the way so i will be able to get back to back flights on the ATOM.thats the only thing holding me back now,as i dont have any matched sets of 3s batts anymore.I am really liking this heli now.the manuverablity of a 450 but the presence of a bigger heli.

edit.I have to watch what i say,but yes the new G2 batts should be here any day now, already have my order in.2, 6s batts and 4, 3s.the rest of the summer is going to be a ton 'o stick time

Fender, We should do a full thread on the progression of your skills.

First four or five posts with all the bs setup vids and such.
Then some of your first hovers in all orientations.

Followed by the more andvanced stuff, all with notes and commentaries in between.

It would end up being the BOOK on learning how to fly helis.

Along with a few subchapters like "how to get lucky with being a batery rep"

Followed with "how to land the Field rep for ATOMs"

Concluding with "Us lucky bastards win ALL the cool helis"

All kidding aside, great flying as usual.

KBDD were affiliated with COMPASS for a long time, and came stock with many kits.and by stock I mean frame head and tail components

main blades and tail blades dont count

have not tached it,but its too low.I am putting the 9t back on.there is an 8t on now and I estimate it to be about 2300.great for cruising around, but its a little slow for flips and rolls and such, just not enough punch
