Rockohaulic, you cannot tell because of how I balled all the wires together at the top, but there is plenty of room in the tray. In fact every bit of the tray is usable space. The servos do not block any of the mounting space within the tray. If you look at the photo of the Rave's left side with the volatge regulator you get some idea of the opening. The other side is blocked by the ball of wires. If you take just a few minutes, which I did not in this case, you can hide all the wires and everything looks much more open.

This machine has a Mini G, ATG, voltge regulator, Receiver, three satellites and a battery on top. There is still plenty of room on the bottom of the tray for another big battery and on the side with the voltage regulator to a put gyro amp and more items. Also under the ball of wires is enough room for yet another Amp for something. Even with all that there is still room if you need space for other items.

I think any intelligent person can clearly see that it has a very nice electronics tray with plenty of space for everything we can think of to strap on it

Got it Curtis!

Hard to tell in the pictures............

And Ink - Watch it dude - I resemble that remark!

Speaking of Ink and his love of all things Synergy.... Now here is some room for some electronics (not that yours doesn't have enough room under those wires Curtis!!! ):

Curtis,

I reread this again...
The servos do not block any of the mounting space within the tray
You are refering to the way the 700N gives you a nice 3 dimensional tray, but then takes space away with the servo, correct???

Thanks again for clarifying things on the radio tray. Any pictures of it empty?

rockohaulic,

Now imagine the space on the synergy with the throttle and tail servos was opened up and had space for more stuff on both sides. That is the Rave ENV radio Tray.

Sweet!

In this poor economy, real estate is good!

Looking forward to adding this gem to my fleet.

Here are a couple of shots to show you how much space there acutally is. I hope this clears that up a little.

I am thinking of installing the titanic on there since there is so much room for any widget or doo dad you would want.

I know it is impossible to admit, but even after the release of the Rave 90, Curtis´ most sexy bird will still be the Henseleit Rigid

the Rigid is pretty cool. Unfortunately mine has been sitting since before IRCHA. I look forward to doing some more speed runs with it over the winter.

can you hold knife edge with the ridgid? like do a high speed pass and then do 1/4 roll and point the nose up to get some lift. I tried it today with Joe C's syplphide with the super gracy body, and it actually worked!

No starter shaft
nice pcs.

have you spoted, that there is no starter shaft? That means vou must put your starter trough the holow pinion. Is there any connection between the clutch and the engine to align the clutch with the engine?

Albert,

Good catch on the starter setup, but actually that design is changing for production. It will have a more standard hex adaptor and shaft.

To directly answer your question, yes there was a way to keep the pinion, bell and clutch in line.

Curtis,
thanks for the answer and information. I am already curious, how the final version will look and all your technical solutions.

Good luck with the final prototyps and start of the production
