420LF motor, RCe-25T ESC, motor, and ESC getting Hot, ESc more hot.

I have 0,50,66,82,100 N Throttle Curve.
Pitch is -3 to +11

Reprogrammed the ESC to

1-1,2-3,3-3,4-2

Which is

Brake Dis
Timming High
Battery Prtection High Discharge Rate
Heli Soft start

Hovers about 2-1/2 minutes and starts to cut out.

Batterys is 2200mah 25C Kong Power, works fine in the other heli, which is the same, just has 35a esc, an 430L motor.

Flights set to 5 min only makes it halfway.

Well I guess it's just bad it want fly but 2-1/2 to 3 min, then start sputtering.

Reprogramed it twice, the last one was better than the first, but no cigar.

O'well not like I'm plum out of anything to fly, got my best bird setup, but wanted to give it a rest for a while since it tought me to fly, I was going to give it a vacation.

You don't mention the number of teeth on your pinion.

The 420LF is not a great motor, it gets HOT. A 25 amp ESC is a bit marginal on a 450 heli to begin with. This combination you're running seems to be what was popular maybe 4 years ago when the Trex 450 was the new kid on the block, motors weren't terribly good, and 35 amp ESC's were expensive.

Your throttle curve is making matters worse. You're running an electric motor and speed control where they are the least efficient -- meaning HEAT generation.

If this is your normal curve you're talking about, it ought to be something like 0 - 85 - 85 - 85 - 85 (or those 85's can be even higher) It's not uncommon to find curves simply max'ed out at 100%. This gets motor efficiency UP, and HEAT down.
which is the same, just has 35a esc, an 430L motor.
Well, no. NOT the same. Not even close to the same. A 35 Amp ESC instead of a marginal 25 amp version, and the 430L is far and above more efficient than that dog 420LF you're running.
