Hi guys,

Could someone please let me know the weight of the stock flybar paddles?

I also noticed there are two different versions, what is the difference between them? Does one catch more air for faster cyclic?

Thanks!

The longer of the two do provide faster cyclics. That is the set I prefer to use, they are pretty fast and really make it track nicely.. It's a good combo of speed and stability!

I have been trying some different paddles lately to see how I like them. Here are a few weights of some of the popular 450 size paddles.

Next-D long - 7.93g
Next-D short - 7.36g
Align Stock - 6.26g
Mini Titan stock - 6.88g
Mini Titan SE - 4.35g
CY Stubz (w/o weight) - 3.15g
CY Stubz (w/ weight) - 5.10g
Outrage paddles (not pictured) - 5.36g

Oops, I forgot those. The weights are 1.95g or 5.10g for the Stubz and weights.

Wow! Great info!! Just what I needed, thank you so much!

I think I'm going to get the Super Stubz and use the weights with them. If they're too slow I'll remove the weights.

Is there only one weight then per a paddle?

Also could someone tell me what the Stubz have thread wise, my friend says there is metal inside to thread too. I'm tired of plastic ones wearing down and would be great to use loctite with metal.

There is not metal inside the little Stubz as this would add to much weight. There is a plastic insert inside them. I use a small amount of CA and the stay on fine for me.

Build it, fly it, crash it. Repeat as often as needed.

Just one weight per paddle. I would definately use them if you run the Stubz. You can still adjust them on the flybar for faster cyclic. Without the weights, the cyclic speed is just rediculous.

That's what I thought, oh well, back to using CA . Thanks!

They're only 0.27 grams less than my current ones with the weights but I guess as they are more rigid and have a larger surface area they should be faster even with weights.

Just a little question on my mind. I see the CY paddles have a 45 degree angle edge instead of a smooth curve. Is this more efficient or about the same as a smooth curve?

(The outside leading edge)

Edit:
You can still adjust them on the flybar for faster cyclic.
What does this mean? Sorry.

Edit #2:

Ohh, I see... The weights are not installed in the paddle, damn... Oh well I was hoping they would be in the paddle. No worries.
