For all v-bar users, beware that the V4.0 has a serious flaw in it. It drains your lipo's much more than it should. This is not a single occurance, but has happened a couple of times to me since upgrading my v-bar to version 4. I ended up with over discharging my lipo's due to the fact that it so so much fun now! I simply can't stop flying when the timers goes. Those damn Germans has a bug in the software and will most likely cost you a couple of lipo's. I expect it is especially true for Logo 500 owners.

Don't say I haven't warned you! Stick to 3.16 if you don't like some serous fun!

V4 drains lipos....
I'm using a Outrage 2S 1300mah pack on L600 for the electronics and for every 4 flights it sucks 730mah out of the pack. I'm on 8717HV servos. I don't think it's bad at all

Cheers

FYI I did 5 flights hard on my battery set up and still had a safe margin to fly more . I have two Kong Power 7.4 2000 mah parallel . I have three setups like this a total of 6 packs . This gets me a day of good flying with no charging . Don't forget to check fuel

I stole it ,flew it and gave it back ;)

My fellow dudes, this post was meant to be sarcastic. As in, Rigalo was being sarcastic.

Here: (Pay special attention to the biblical reference.)

Sarcasm is a form of irony that is bitter or cutting, being intended to taunt its target. It is first recorded in English in The Shepheardes Calender in 1579:

An Ironical [Sarcasmus], spoken in derision of these rude wits, which make more account of a rhyming Rimbaud, then of skill rounded upon learning and judgment.

—Edmund Spenser

It comes from the ancient Greek σαρκάζω (sarkazo) meaning 'to tear flesh' but the ancient Greek word for the rhetorical concept of taunting was instead χλευασμός (chleyasmόs). Sarcasm appears several times in the Old Testament, for example:

Lo, you see the man is mad; why then have you brought him to me? Do I lack madmen, that you have brought this fellow to play the madman in my presence?

—Achish, king of Gath, 1st Samuel 21:10-15

Oscar Wilde, the Irish playwright, poet and author of numerous short stories and one novel, also known for his wit, declared that sarcasm is the lowest form of wit.

Terrabit, sarcasm may be low but it shore is entertaining

4.0 has driven me to uncontrolled bouts of non stop flying as well. It takes some real will power to stop flying at the timer.

Damn! I though I would get more posts than Terrabit's "L600 Nitro" Post. Next time.

Anyway, now that we have determined that the V4 uses a lot off power, I decided to move it to my L700. Double the packs should be sufficient power.

So, has anybody got a L700 setup for the V4 or do I choose the L600 setup? I'm flying 720 NHP blades. Don't know if how this would affect the setup, since someone said the V4 is less affected by the blades.

MRMel,

Thanks. But in short, what did you change from the standard setup, if it is not too much to have a quick overview?

Thanks.

Sorry, dont remember offhand, load it into the simulator version of the VBar software and take a look what it differs mainly from your setup.

But I know I worked alot to get the tail going as I wanted.

Vbar 4.0 not do it only with flybareless. In my case do it with flybared machines too. I reduced my fleet to minititan and logo600 only, but logo600 with vbar 4.0 flyes so verywell, that my minititan sleepeng last month, stop using his batteries is draining them too

flying without padles is better , but be sure to get electronic ones
