i dont know if its my set up ,im running aroung 6 and a half degrees cyclic forward and backwards ,i have watched helis doing continues backflips in a short and neat way ,when im doing continues back flips the heli goes over to far back if you know what i mean instead of going right over straight away ,could this be a fault in my collective management skills ,it works really well on the simmulator ,thanx.

Use much much less collective. It takes some practice but you will get it.

It helps that you have -12 +12 for pitch

and get your cyclic so it almost binds and back it off a hair.

these tips help you to get the most out of the pilot and machine

As you start the flip (backward or forward) you need to start coming off the collective as you start the maneuver, have a bit more than inverted hover collective when up-side-down and back to positive collective when right-side-up. Get the timing of collective change thorough the maneuver and you will be all set.

many thanx for the replies at the moment i have +10 and -10 so i should increase that to 12 and 12 ,i thought that it would be to much for the engine and would have a chance of bogging especially when cyclic is added in

that entirely depends on your set up.

if your bogging bad at 12 then 10 is fine

honestly a proper backflip your not using full collective anyway. I just dont like to have to throw the sticks around as much at 12

Increasing the head speed or the cyclic or both will help.

What heli ?
From what you have described, you are using too much collective too early to catch the heli. You only need about +/-3 degrees for smooth and sustained continuous flips or rolls.

I run 8 1/2 degrees on cyclics and 12 12 on pitch But thats doesnt matter is really is all about timing. just make sure you give a bit of pos pitch when first starting in to any flips or rolls .and try a bit of a pause when inverted until you do get them timing right.

I know I used lock tight why did my head explode

its on both helis raptor 50 and trex 600 ,as i go back full on elevator instead of going straight over immediately ,it goes over way back to far before i can do it continues flips ,for exzample if i go back full elevator say 30 metres away the time it comes round its above me ,to late for a second flip

You're waiting too long before reducing collective.

exactly

as the heli is comming over you have too much pos pitch and its blowing the heli back

By the time you're heli is verticle, you should be at 0 collective, and depending on what speed you're flipping your helicopter tail over, you should be dropping to that 0 collective fairly fast. You're holding your positive 3 degree for hovering, and then pulling your helicopter back while not reducing the collective, causing backwards flight towards yourself. If you 0 out your collective as the heli is flipping towards you, and then give it about -3 to -4 as you transition into inverted, once again transition to 0 as your heli is verticle again, and then back to +3 when it's level, you should be good. It's just a matter of getting the transition speed down. You're waiting too long to transition, and thus causing the helicopter to fly towards you.
