I finally got the motor today and installed it.

I have only hovered the Caliber700 in a very small backyard.

It is ridiculously easy to hover. I may have well dropped a rope from the overhanging tree and just hung the helicopter by it and watched it.

Bizarrely easy to hover.

I hope to fly it around later this evening.

I am using a Hacker A40-8L with the stock motor mount.

I have now flown it around. It is extremely smooth and very easy to fly. Power is pretty good, not spectacular. More tuning and playing with timing might improve this.

My only real issue, so far, is that it pitches up (like I hit heavy down elevator) when crossing though inverted in an axial roll.

I am playing with phasing and balance to see if I can correct this.

Update:

I have been attempting to follow the teachings of Dr. Ben and Gordon Meade regarding the use of P-Mixes and have gotten some nice flat rolls now out of the Caliber 700.
