I just bought a align 5.1v step down to run. When I tested it ( with a volt meter) it reads 5.34v and not 5.1v like it said. Is anyone getting the same reading? I blew one tail servo with this align crap electronics and don't want to burn up another one!!

Thanks

The 5.1V step down isn't a true 5.1 step down.

It's actually a 0.7V drop. It drops the input voltage by 0.7.

Hell... I can fix that.
Uh oh..
Nope.
It's ***ked!!!

Well from what I understand then the Align 2 in 1 puts out 5.8v to the gyro that means with the stepdown I should have 5.1v to the tail servo then right? Then again why is it 5.34v coming out of the step down?

have you checked the out put from the 2in1? I had one that was putting out 5.95 static

I'm saying the stepdown is perfect... it's just a couple of diodes.

Hell... I can fix that.

The 0.7v is a nominal value , with no load the voltage drop will be less .

At the end of the day , it gets dark .
