Increasing tail rotor speed definitely helps. There are a few methods of doing so.
So far I did this:
1. Use Mini-Titan SE pulley and replace our TRex450 pulley to it.
- Replace the TRex450 pulley ONLY for the main frame pulley. Leave the original pulley (tail shaft) the same. It has bigger size and thus, spin faster.
2. Use bigger Pinion (Same teeth angel with our TRex450 pinion) and create a flange on it (to guide the belt) and replace the TRex450 pulley.
- I currently using this method (can't find a time to post and share this to all). By using this method, using 17Teeth will give u around 6.5x turning (tail over main rotor). Furthermore, it is using TRex450 newer gearing. If I were to use 18Teeth or higher, the tail can spin 7x or higher!
