Hi all..

I had always been a 20% user. Cheapo me.. but I would like to really find out is there a significant difference between the two? I had heard a lot of good comments on 30% but my question is: Is it really necessary?

People are also saying 30% nitro helps a lot in 3D flying..

My YS likes 30% way better. I just gave away a 3/4 bottle of 20% because I was disgusted with the performance drop.

I still think 25% is the way to go, I don't get why they don't make that

You don't need 30%
A well tuned engine and good collective management go a long way
But there's no doubt that 30% has more punch and is fun - at a price

I use to mix 10% and 15% to give me 12.5%, or was it 0% and 15% for give me 10%, anyways nothing wrong with mixing fuel (20% and 30% to give 25%).

30% gives more power and makes the engine easier to tune, but if 20% gives you enough power and the engine is running nicely then no reason to move to more expensive 30% nitro. I would recommend 15%+ nitro, above that depends on your demands from an engine.

I talked to Curtis at Sulphur and I was asking him about his new CY 20% blend and he flat told me his .91 ran better on the new Wildcat CY 20% than his CY 30 blend.

I'm prolly gonna try it on my N9 when it gets here.

I kind of second that..I was burning 2 sometimes 3 gallons a weekend when flying a 90. This is going to hurt the pocket. Plus I got no own business.

There is no doubt that 30% has more power than the 20%, however if your sport flying 20% is hard to beat.

The one benefit of the 20% is that it will teach you how to manage your collective far more due to the fact that it doesn''t offer the power that the 30% does.

Also, if your on a budget the 20% is clearly the way to go and will save you about $5 a gallon.

It ultimately comes down to choice but those are the pros and cons.
