I know that this has been discussed before, but I like to get some info on flying the 9CH-S with a 9CH as a buddy box.
The manual tells you much in how to set up the Master, but very little about the Buddy Box.
I like to pair a 9CH Super (Master) with a Regular 9CH (Buddy Box) and am not sure how to set up the pair. (The Compac's are not compatible, so I can not transfer any data from the S to the Regular)
The manual says that in the Master TX Trainer Menu I should set Chan 1-4 as FUNC, so that all the settings in the Master are used by the Buddy Box.
On the Forum, I read that that the Buddy Box should be on a empty channel in the ACRO mode.
When done so and I power up the Master TX, the Buddy Box Screen shows that it has loaded up on the selected empty channel. Is that correct?
What happens to all the trims, the Master's versus the Buddy Box? Such as the manual ones on the front panel and the computer ones like, sub trim, trottle cut, end points, the curves, etc? Do they all have to be duplicated manually from the Master into the Buddy Box? Or are the ones in the Master TX used automatically when the Trainer switch is activated in the Master TX?
I would appreciate any comments.

It is as you say - use the func on all the channels and the slave ( in standard aero mode) it then uses all the trims etc on the master, nothing has to be done on the slave -

you can set the slave up to fly the heli on its own and then use the norm func on each channel with the master, this allows the slave to be set up with milder (or just different) settings than the master - this is the way I usually do it so I can have idle up engaged while the slave ( beginner) just has normal engaged. I can get out of almost all situations the beginner can get into like that!!!!!
