Ive just sold my kyosho caliber 90 for fund raising my new heli.

Ive packed it up, and send it as the way i should want it to reach me.

Now, when the buyer got it, he claims its broken (ok, i can solve the broken tailboom) but the heli is in awful condition and all parts are crap. The heli is in 100% flawless condition when i send it, not a scratch on it. Now, have i no money, no heli

What in the world should i do? I have been using paypal for 5 years, and never had have such problems before. Now im really dissapointed.

Any clues RR members what to do? IM greatfull for every tip i can get!

all the best

Have the buyer send you pics of the claimed damage. Make sure he sends pics from all angles so you can make sure that he is sending pics of your heli.

If his claims are true, then you might be able to go to the service you used to send it and see what can be done.

Good luck, I hope you did not get into a deal with one of the many jack ass scammers that have been through this site over the years.

I would suspect someone is lying about the condition it was received in and is trying to rip you off. Did they send you pictures of the helicopter you sent them showing the damage? Hope you took out insurance on the helicopter? If they are taking a long time to send out pictures they are probably getting junk parts and making it look like the helicopter is damaged so they can back up their claim. I really find it hard to believe that a helicopter packed up well would get there damaged? Good luck and keep us updated with the results.

Cheers, Patrick

BTW, paypal are very good at ripping customers off. They tried it on me and sent all my $5,000.00 back to buyers of my auctions after I sent everything out. Not only that, but I sold everything off at half the cost of wholesale and people I sent things to said I never sent anything to paypal and they got their money back. Lucky thing I had everything registered and insured or I would be out all my money and my products. It took me over a month to get my money back from paypal and they had the nerve to take out fees twice on the money I had in there.

Take Care,
Cheers, Patrick

Another thing to note, paypal ONLY really backs up when you buy things on Ebay... not another store that has a paypal pay here logo.

I found this out too when I got scammed out a little bit of money and the company was no where to be found. Paypal did reverse the charges, but it was $12.00 ... still

Hope it works for you.

One thing to keep in mind for future PayPal transactions is to transfer the money out of PayPal and into your bank account immediately after getting it. This way if someone files one of these scam claims against you PayPal wont be able to give them the money (they cant take it from your bank account without permission) and you will have time to present a case and deal with the buyer.. Its unfortunate that so many people out there are like this nowadays

That works if the money is in your account and you transfer it out before they suspect anything. On mine they locked out my account on the first day I got money in there and I couldn't do anything with it. Not only that, but they did this on their own, no one claimed anything. Paypal said I was laundering money and ripping people off without having anyone claim this. I will never deal with paypal ever again.

thanks for the comments guys.

I grab the bull at the horns and talked to the guy (in another country outside EU).

I ve got the dispute cancelled and i transferd back 110 euro to cover the claimed ruined parts.
Lesson learned, only sell to people where the seller protection is availble. otherwise you can get really ripped off, in both ways! no money and heli lost.

All the best

I have also had pay-pal reverse funds after I shipped from e-bay auctions. I highly recommend taking your cash out of your pay-pal account asap so they can't get there hands on it. Pay-Pal loves to HOLD onto your money and collect the interest while you battle with them. They are not a bank and don't follow banking regulations. Did I mention I hate pay-pal but the concept is great. You just have to be very careful.

PayPal just did the same thing to me 1 month ago. I sold a 50 size heli on e-bay as used. The buyer decided that he did not want it because the parts were used and not new. PayPal reveresed the funds and said that the buyer has the right to return a purchase for any reason, just like at Home Depot.

I got it back, but with all the wasted time, and shipping fees I got screwed. It could have been worse.

Well thats good, but yea it does suck. Especially with a full heli those shipping charges are not cheap.
