Welcome!

Just try to remember, we have skids, not landing gear. AND, we NEVER put PANTS on them.

Don't worry, Al will teach you the piloting in no time. You may even be able to get Justin to be the "Red reset button" if needed.

I've been recruited to teach you the much more difficult part. Proper heli etiquette. I recruited myself actually but that's OK...don't worry, this will be more clear after chapter 7.

I'm setting up the lesson plan for chapter 1 right now. "Introduction to Heli Forum Etiquette"
Are you a member of any plank...er, I mean aeroplane forums? It'll help for me to know what level you're at.

Someone is selling the power system that comes with the Revolver on the other airplane forum. I don't think we are allowed to link to it, but it's under power system. Motor, ESC and motor mount for 125.

Wait Pizza dude....I just realized something. Learning proper heli forum etiquette should not be chapter 1. Heck, this doesn't need to be learned for at least...what, 50000 posts.
You are probably going to need a crash course in another area pretty soon though.

You're probably going to have some self proclamed "expert" builder offer you some help on your first build. Accept. It is good for comradery. And, if you pay close attention, you will also learn a lot of heli etiquette as well.
This is a tough one but I'll do my best.
Screw tightness.
Never ask how tight to make a screw. He will just look confused and not give a reasonable answer anyway.
Best approach...gob the heck out of a screw, thread it in and leave it at least 1 turn from tight. Then hand the heli to him and ask him to check it. Listen, watch and try not to snicker. Give a simple compliment and thanks for the great tips.

Bob

Are you trying to scare him off even before he starts?

He will say, "Screw this" and go back to pla.. airplanes.

@eddiscus

Those rudders do not look big enough to for you to be able to do a high alpha knife on the deck.

What is an Alpha ?
Angle of Attack on airplanes. Wing AoA or Fuse AoA

Harrier is a high alpha maneuver. Slow knife-edge with fuse at 30-45deg is a high alpha maneuver.

That is one thing I admire about fixed wing aircraft is the ability to do a nice knife edge pass.

Maybe if I fasten a ducted fan and use a canopy with a large side profile I could some day get a Heli to do it. But for now soooooooo much more to learn.
