also check into B&H photo supply in the city. I forgot to give the case for the 550 to Ed. I was at the mall in town and they were clearing out the hard cases so I bought a double bow case for her heli. And I trying to see if Eve will let me get a new Truck instead of a case for the bergen they it will have double use.

Dave

return your DX8, return it now, I said NOW, do not use the DX8, it's not what you want, don't even open the box, JUST CALL THE COMPANY YOU ORDERED FROM AND RETURN IT. Return it NOW!!

you want a DX7 SE --or-- JR 9503 --or-- JR 11X

the DX8 has known transmission problems, it's been recalled. It binds fine and works on the bench fine. You can do all your setup fine but when you fly it that's when it has problems. Most people report transmission "control" issues anywhere from 3 to 5 minutes into flight at which time it flies your heli right into your balls.

helixangle,

There have been known problems with the DX8, and there is a recall of certain vin/release numbers, but from what I'm reading on the spektrum users forums...those who don't have that range of production numbers are enjoying their radios just fine, those who do are getting them returned from spektrum rather quickly.

You sure that's still a problem?

All kidding aside,

IMO the DX8 is a better DX6 software platform in a DX6 case. I find the DX6 software and interface to be counter intuitive. I also do not like the feel of the DX6 in my hands, as well as the switch placement.

My first choice is the 11X (pricey)

second 9503

cost conscience DX7 SE

the DX8 has some great features, but at the end of the day I feel it's a souped up DX6

just my opinion

None of those radios you quoted has an 11ms response time or telemetry though, well except the se.
