Hi guys

I want to buy a Imac but I' ve a question...

Works better for RF G4 the new Imac 24" 2,66 GHz with 4gb ram ddr3 GeForce 256 shared or the previous model 24" 2,80 GHz with 2 gb ram a ATI RADEON HD 256 dedicated card.
Wich is the best....considering future simulators specs, more graphics
more speed...
Thanks for Yours answers

if you can afford it always get the most upto date Mac you can the 2.8 CPU is better than the 2.66 and the ATI Card will match the Nivida easily enough.

But if you can get a 512meg dedicated GFX card in it that will do more good

So say a 2.8CPU and the 512meg GFX card option would do nicely

be careful ! I don't think RF is compatible with Mac ! Or with a windows emulator on Mac ! You better check this on their website before buying something you cannot use...

RF is not compatible with Mac OSX unless you also have a copy of windows running on a Mac with an Intel CPU. I have never tried it using parallels, but it runs perfectly fine on my MB Pro using bootcamp.

Boot camp is the way to go if you want windows on a Mac.

Get the new 24 inch Imac. It will run G4.0 faster than a PC. I'm running G3.5 on a Mac. It's sweet.

Hi,
I bought the previous 24" Imac after I' ve seen the benchmark test on
http://www.macworld.com/article/139...macs_2009.html.
I will try bootcamp to run my G4.

Hi Guys

I realize you wanted to know about the G4 etc...

I have a 24' iMac with 3,06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 2GB Ram, Nvidia GeForce 8800 512 MB graphics card.

I like to fly for 15 min, 5 of 6 times a day...I was sick and tired of shutting down and rebooting in windows.... just to play my sim (G3,5)

SO

I bought the new AeroFly Pro Deluxe Platinum edition FOR MAC!!!!!

The name of the sim is a little long winded and it is a little more work to calibrate and setup your Tx, but it is a great sim. I cant compare it to G4 or 4,5 or Phoenix, but compared to G3,5 it is WAY nicer.

The best part is i can go fly any time.........sorry, just finnished a flight......where was i ????? yes you can fly any time. No bootcamp or parallels etc.....dump windows once and for all.....

Regards
Paul

PS: on my iMac, i get +300fps
