Not sure where this topic should go but it is electric related Will these specs
3-Amp 13.8-Volt Power Supply or this Pyramid PS9KX 5A/7A Power Supply with Cigarette Lighter Plug
be good enough to use with the Tritan II or do I need more Amps? My old Radio Shack 13 Amp supply smoked itself to death after 12 years of use

Thanks for your help

Triton is a pretty small charger at 90W max. I also find it very picky about its power source. You're going to want 10%-20% more input than output, so calculate your charge requirements (Volts X Ah rating for 1C)and add 10%, and that's the power supply you'll need. I run mine on a converted ATX 250W supply. It's the only one that works for it other than the car battery.

FYI, charger forum on RR - http://runryder.com/helicopter/f71p1/

Thanks Max for the info. That will help greatly. Also I was searching for info to convert a computer power supply but the search got lengthy. I will resume my search because I have plenty of computer power supplies laying around.
