I wouldn't bother, just use throttle curves. Most cheap ESC's in governor mode just pulse the motor and make the tail act nutty, unless you have really good ESC I wouldn't bother.

I second that. Don't bother unless you have a really good one.

I like to run anywhere between 85, 85, 85, 85, 85, up to 100, 100, 100, 100, 100, linear. This seems to really help our little 450's hold there HS more consistant, and good collective managment to. These style curves, and keeping them Above 85%, really keep the system running the most efficient.

You will get to use your GOV mode once you get into larger helicopters, as the ESC's used are pretty much top notch, and have actual working GOV modes.
Let me ask, are you into forward flight, doing loops, and rolls just yet, or just Hovering around?

You can download the manual from the acehobby site(http://www.acehobby.com/ace/PDF/Ele...rushlessESC.pdf}.It gives instructions as to setting different options. It's only a small pdf.
Governor mode isn't very good on this ESC,and best avoided. When I did use it, I got the pulsing motor and it also ran very hot.I also had some strange glitches;loss of throttle control.Turn it off and all is fine, nothing gets over 45'C.

Gravity,the unknowen variable.
