Here's my power setup:
- X-Era 4030-560 with 12 tooth mod 1.0 pinion
- Jive 80 HV ESC (no heatsink)
- Outrage 10S 4500 mah batteries
- Gohbee 620 mm blades
The thing is absolutely awesome. Everything comes down cool to the touch. The vertical performance is unbelievable. And I get seven minute flights.
But like Jag says, it is a bit of a monster that can get away from me in a hurry when I'm practicing some of my new stuff. If I was to make it an everyday flyer, I would probably bring the pitch down from +- 14 to +- 12 and bring the headspeed down from 2166 rpm to 2100 rpm.
But right now I'm keeping it where it is as a crowd pleaser for flying at the club on the weekends. I use my TRex 600 and Logo 500 for everyday practice.
BTW The Jazz 55 on my 8S TRex with X-Era 4025 also comes down cool to the touch -- without a heatsink. Wish I could say the same about the Jazz 80 on my Logo 500.
Keep 'em flying.
