I have flown mine twice in the past month, does that count? Oh and it is a combo of King2, King3, B400 and other parts. Still count?

Yep and Yep !!
.
.
I am currently flying the King 2 with an Esky 3800 motor with an 11 tooth pinion, Telebee gyro, all stock servos, stock head, stock blades, 1320 mAH MegaPower bats.
In the past I have used the CopterX head, Blade400 head---both heads work Great with some tweaking. The stock head is brand new but it does get sloppy over time, so who knows what head will end up on it in the future I also put on a Blade 400 tail pulley and shaft today just to see if it would work, outdoor testing required but in theory it should raise the tail speed a little-- but not too much.

I still fly. BeltCP head with King3 Flybar system solved my tracking problem. I'm running CopterX head but I think Esky/Raptor style head setup is more responsive then Align Style<CopterX>.

I love my King2. Only after I put my trex clone head on it, but I love it. I don't do ANY flips or inverted with it but I still love it for relaxed flying and backyard shinanigans.
But I fly w/ a 2200mA battery for 10-12 minute flights. I may try some inverted flight with it soon I'm sure it will be fine once I flip it over and keep it there.

739 flights on my HBK2. That's 86 hours and 51 minutes. With all that air time, you'd think I'd be able to fly better The only parts left from the original kit are the boom and boom supports.

Only when I've tried a gyro that was sensitive to vibrations.
I'm running a $30 hi speed tail servo (Hyperion DS09) and a $22 gyro (Colco GY400) I've only had the servo on for 2 flights but I tested it in moderate backwards flight sunday and it was holding pretty decent and not blowing out on me.

I've had ball trouble when the kids have thrown the wiffle ball at the helicopter though It came over the garage roof one day and then the kids came back and said UHHH OHHHH, Did we hit it?. Then of course there's the neighbor's dog

I put the Spartan gyro damper kit on my HBK2 to help the gyro cope with the vibrations. Its only $4 and really help smooth out the gyro response regardless of how much my heli was vibrating.

I had vibrations issues on Gyro with G401 - cheap clone of GY401. When I put real GY401 vib. problem gone. Gyro is mounted on vibration dumper pad, but without metal plate.

Shrinked all ball links (not all, except two) making less slope. Hard to say if it is better, because it was fine before, but still. Less slope visually. Hopefully more precise control.

Learned to make funels and funel 8's. In one direction only and not perfect and consistent, but still.

More stable flips. Less panicking during flip.

Been flyin my King2. This go round with 2900kv that I bought off Norseman a while back. Really like the Logictech 2100 gyro on it too. I kinda prefer the 2800 motor for the low end grunt but Im tired of breaking the trimmed frame. Its a real pain to swap it all out.

I have bigger helis but the King still rules for a good flying machine with minimal costs. Very tempted to let my 5yr old take the controls with it too. He can do it on Pheonix, so.....might be time to try it.

A simple tail mod if you want a little more tail speed without the 43 tooth front pulley mod. Tailshaft and pulley from a Blade 400--it has 12 teeth that mesh with the stock King belt perfectly. The stock King pulley has 9 teeth, its a happy medium between the stock set-up and the 43t pulley mod. You get two for 4.49 and if your using the stock plastic tailcase you need to sand about a mm of the plastic pulley (the part that slides off) . Just came in from a test flight and so far so good--- I Likes EDIT: PLEASE read down further before partaking in this mod

Doug, more teeth on the rear pulley makes the rotor go slower.

OH SHEEET Greg !! I think your right : For some reason I was equating it with putting a bigger pinion on a motor to increase headspeed I'm wrong---please disregard my previous post-- BrainFart !!!!
