When I posted about the starter shaft not working with srimok i didnt mention that there are about 4 align starters at the field that were used on the srimok with same results.....Had doubts on the align starter shaft so I tried with every align starter I could get my hands on the field

I guess it could be inconsistency of the align starter shafts from batch to batch

Srimok is not the only bird having problems. The starter is great but the starter shaft sucks. I guess one does not work without the other.

You should be able to easily change the starter shaft. The shaft itself is just secured with two screws that go through the shaft. Just get the starter shaft that you like, dremel some flat spots on it and use set screws to secure it to the starter.

It's not about what we like, it's about what is suppose to work when you purchase it. Why is it Things from Align constantly have to be modified or changed? I did not buy it to spend more money to modify it

i dont think that it doesnt fit to the srimok coupling.... it might be one batch of the align starters that had a problem...!

kasama

The starter works fine on a couple of kasama helicopters that I have seen recently. No issues turning over the 90s at all.

I have found the starter to work great with my Srimok. As with some other screws and nuts on the Srimok, some are a bit tight at first, but will wear in after a little use...

Wanted to do a little video, but ran out of time - maybe this weekend.
