I have a hyper 50 that I put new bearings and a ring in. I started it up at 1.5 turns open on the needle and the engine sounded like it was a 2 cylcle. I have not had any issue like this before with any of my hypers. I have it in my Vibe 50 and I checked the fuel lines and tank for air leaks. Checked the the needle and carb but can't find any issue. What would make the engine run lean and 2 cycle? It sounded really bad in idle up almost like is was really over speeding, HS was 1950.

You had it apart... Are ALL of the bolts tight? Did you remove the carb at any point during the rebuild? Any leaks under the carb?

Hell... I can fix that.

Check your exhaust gasket and pressure nipple. Mine gave much grief on a non hyper 50. I used red hi temp silicone for he gasket and fixed it right up

It's only a toy...FLY IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT!!!
