Was Luca flying the new NR engine in Vegas ? I watched his video demo and that bird didn't appear to be lacking any power .

I was there and it did not look like it made any more power than anything else. In fact, the OS motors looked the best in my opinion.

What would be interesting is how the 18,500 rpm max with 2,200 head speed would perform. This would be half way between 50 nitro or 2050 and 600e of 2350 head speed that we fly.

Hi Guy
I get this thread from a friend that advise me to reply you justto explain some thinks about my Las Vegas Fly

1) 57 enginew was a prototipe testing during this competition. mine as Lukas Riva one. After that competition we make some important modification and engine now run different and was released for sale approx one month ago.

2) Tuned pipe REX H5 was a proto too and after that competition and successive test in California we fixed some detail in recover RPM position and we make that modification , releasing the pipe one month ago, now released.

3) My used plug during the vegas event was a OS 8, great plugs, but after many test we discovery that for the 57 is too warm, than engines loose performance after few minutes fly at hight RMP range (over 18000) than we test colder one as Align 4 and the new one REX HR 3 and 4 that are colder, and power stay long all the fly.

4) As pilot I am not a Master than some time is hard to show all the engines power, than with Lukas (that now cooperate with us) we make a video were he fly my hely, same of Vegas, but with the released Engine and pipe. Video is avilable here... I am sure that now is possible to see the difference.

VIDEO: http://www.tuks.ch/video/rex57.wmv

Thanks for the thread and I invite contact me directly if you need of any extra info.

I used to run a .21 big block NR motor, and I will say it was the most powerful/reliable motor I ever had. It never needed much tuning, and ran like a top for 2 years.
