I sent him a email and have not got a reply, can someone tell me what i need to get to install this and witch one to get off his web site? It's for a 26cc Zenoah. Do i need the piston lock or not? Do i need the metal part that goes in the EZ pull over the plastic part?

Thanks

If this is all you are getting in the start kit , that is everything you need.

The G260PU-EI has a rotor on the shaft that is bolted on ; just remove the bolt and screw on the "start dog" .. You may have to do a little cutting on the plastic housing of the starter itself so it fits the lower motor mount.

Nope.
I used the stock pull-start on my 26cc EI , and it uses a different "start dog". I hope the "start dog" in the pic will clear the EI pick-up sensor.

Everything you need to do the change over is included. It took me no more the 5 -6 minutes to do and it is great. Makes starting a lot more comfortable and easy.

I got the piston lock with mine to make the change easier, but in reality a small amount of clean cord put in the spark plug hole will do the same thing and may be easier on the piston as the force will not be concentrated in one small spot in the center of the piston.

Yep a 5-10 minute job, and they work GREAT..

Has anyone out there tried the EZ pull starter on a EI 26 motor? The guy at hanson said he was not sure it would work with the EI but it should. If i don't get any replys i guess i will order it anyway and try to get it to work. But my luck it won't.

Thanks for any replys

The pull from a 231PUH fits the EI 20cc because I've used it and that’s why I suggested the Hanson easy start in the first place on another thread.
Just order it

I don't think the Hanson web site has on line ordering, but when you call you get to talk to a knowledgable human being which is getting rare these days...

I bought one of the Hanson EZ starts too. I am confused. Does the "wishbone" shaped thing stay on the bottom of the helicopter permanently and spin around with the engine, and then the plastic starter assembly comes off and on?

Hanson sent me a totally different starter (like the one in jimboflies first picture). Maybe I need to return it and order one from somebody else? I don't want that wishbone thing spinning around on the bottom of my helicopter.

The wishbone thing is part of the Easy start system the one on the spectra just looks normal , I think you only need the easy start with high compression engines were the normal pull can be hard work.

I think you're right. I need to trade it for a regular starter. Thanks for the clarification.
