Had a very bad crashed yesterday, 100% pilot error.
This was with VSTABI on Rave with Gaui head.
I couldn't believe I rip apart the frame.

It happen when I was inverted flying and it got a bit too far from me and I lost orientation. I was told it came down knife edge inverted and to the ground with a loud "Bang".

all electronics ok except strip the gear on 1* Inolab and the JR3500.

Interesting. I remember when someone posted a similar pic of the Protos and everyone thought it was so "fragile".

That doesn't look too bad

Good luck man, and get her back in the air! Sorry about your crash.

TT gone

The TT was killed during this crashed, it broke as shown on the picture.

Good thing I got two Rave, so I could continue to fly this mroning.

Got to get some parts to get 2nd one ready.

Sorry to see that
Look at the bright side. At least you didn't bend your flybar.

yup - no flybar

Dood, Yup..I am luck I was flying FBL at that time.
Carbon Copter, ... the canopy is a bit weak where crack can only be seen from inside. But that was probably because it have been through 3 crashes, all pilot error. The canopy holder is the one that break and saving some impact on the canopy, but guess it transfer to the frame.

One feedback to Brian and Curtis..
- I have no issue with the design of the canopy holder which break and saving the canopy. However it sometime break and leaving the screw inside the main bearing mount and could not be remove. So beside replacing the canopy mount,

Suggestion, make the screw longer so it comes out of the other side of the the main bearing mount, so when it break we can still unscrew and get the screw out from the other side so only replace the canopy mount.

And yes....I am back up flying with this. Took the opportunity to have the AR7100 in replace of the 6100e so I get 2048 resolutions and 11ms...not that my skill will make a difference. However I did find it a lot smoother.

what i do is put a longer screw in from the other side so if it does break you can get it out.

if you have the new bearing blocks they go right in , i have the older blocks and i just dremeled the sides down so i can get the screws in.

Spare part for frame

Quick question:

For ND-YR-AS069 this part number, do it comes with both left and right sides of the frame or just one side? i.e. I need to buy two of this part number as both side of my frame is gone.
