![]() rrProfessor Lucasville,Ohio | lol...funny.It's hardly ever on anymore. It helped get the nerve to start trying some 3D.I sold out a while back and tried to kick the heli habit. I got sucked back in though and David Kutolic at helisrtf.com gave me a great deal on the Helicommand since I was buying everything to start over from him.Trex 500ESP RTF,DX7,Outrage packsX2,Maxpro charger and blah blah......Got a great deal on everything really.

TaleGunner rrElite Veteran Deer Park WA | I think the helicommand is great if your flying an AP ship otherwise its an over complicated piece of equipment that hinders learning more than it help biggest problem I see is most beginner's cant set it up right.Well now you can fly get that thing off there and fly it![]() CRASH! GLUE! REPEAT!

Flying Brian rrElite Veteran St. Clairsville, Ohio | When and what is heli command for? I mean, I have seen a stupid VID where some dude put the TX on the ground and touched the rotorhead, but other than that, what is it good for, during a safe normal flight?"I just don't Listen" "

![]() rrProfessor Lucasville,Ohio | I have the Helicommand 3D and it will actually hover the heli on its own.If you start losing control just release the right stick and it will stop where it's at and hover by itself.Even inverted. It was a big help to me but I could fly before.I was just coming off a long break.I had never inverted before the Helicommand and it gave me the confidense to try.

TaleGunner rrElite Veteran Deer Park WA | I'm glad it gave you confidence to try inverted but can you fly inverted now without it or do you still rely on it?When and what is heli command for?

![]() rrProfessor Lucasville,Ohio | I can hover inverted for a little bit but never close to the ground.I still haven't got the orientation down.Aleron stuff is easy enough but rudder and elev stuff gets confusing.Still using Helicommand for hovering practice inverted but not the loops, flips and rolls.I'm building a new Trex 500 right now.It won't have the luxury of a Helicommand.I'm setting it up to be a bit more agressive anyway.

![]() rrProfessor Lucasville,Ohio | Yeah, they work great but it depends on what you want.
The green mode will just hold the heli in one place while you just watch if that floats yer boat.lol...Here's a look at the first pack ever on this heli with a helicommand.
