Hey guys I cannot seem to figure this one out. My hyper now has about 2 gallons through it with a mp5 pipe and a 7100r rev limiter. I am running 11 and 11 pitch and have beat around that a little trying to cure my problem. I have tried everything from 82 to 90 on the gear channel setting for the limiter. Still bogging her and there. No pop at all. Can some please guide me here I am the only heli guys at our feild!!!.. What setting is everyone else with this setup running??? throttle servo is a ds 285mg servos are 8717's

do you know how to set mixture? put your finger on the back plate of the engine and you should just barely be able to hold your finger on it comfortably.

Using a AR7100R on OS50 Hyper with 2000-2100RPM on my Vibe. Running +-13 pitch no bogging at all. Is your throttle ATVs near %100 and half throttle barrel at midstick ?

Or you maybe you're too rich.

I am having the same issues myself,I have an os 50, and running 2100 in idle 2 with 12+ 12- for pitch and find that my motor seems to really sound like its loading for bogging during flips and rolls, I have carbsmart setting at 100 and turned it up to 110 degree setting and it made a pretty big difference. I think Iwas just running to rich. hopefully this setting wont harm the motor

I know this does not really help the discussion but will put my 2 cents in anyway I hated the 7100r limiter. It never seemed to do well. Im running no limiter or gov at the moment and using curves. Working better than the 7100r did.

jameswill4 what’s the altitude above sea lever were you fly???

I’m running 100% lineal curves at idle 1 and 2 and 90% and 93% with grate results.

The MP5 delivers plenty of pressure in to the tank so you may need less than one turn on the main needle.

Ok have a few more questions. I may have found my problem. My ds285mg servo died today while I was testing, That sucks but oh well. What is a good servo to run on throttle???
Also I am noticing alot of play in my clutch bell front to back and side to side?? Is this normal or should it be tight?????

I have 0 play in my clutch bell they are very snug on both Vibe birds.
in fact took alot of time getting the motor aligned right so there was no drag there.

Im running Hyperion DS 20 GMD on my throttle on both vibes.
metal geared double ball bearing digital tail servo for $39 bucks.
works great super fast super accurate and CHEAP.

I have the runout to within 0.001th and I thought that my alignment was good but guess not!!!! I have been fighting this thing for a while and it is begining to get aggervating I ordered the parts and will give it one more try.

I have it in my 700 with a YS90SR and a Vibe 50 with an OS hyper. I love it. Works very well and holds head speed very consistently. My throttle curves are straight 100% lines. I have noticed that if you are not very close to 100% on your endpoints, it will not hold as well.

I 2nd what P Johnston said. I have seen his helis fly and the 7100R does an awesome job holding the headspeed constant thru all types of flying.
