Hi guys,

I just put two 3S 2200mAh packs in storage mode with my new Bantam BC8DX charger, and once completed, the voltage per cell was 3.7V

My understanding was that you should not go lower than 3.85V when storing your packs. Is this normal?

Thanks,
G

Something is not right. 3.90-3.95volts per cell for storage.

After a follow up with the shop I bought it from, they confirmed that Bantam changed the Storage Mode on the BC8DX to 3.7V per cell. They said that there is nothing to worry about.

Does anyone have similar experience with their BC8DX? Is 3.7V really safe?

Thanks,
G

Yes, I did bring this up, but the dealer said that was a misprint and that the actual number ONLY for the BX8DX is 3.7V

Actually I was told that from now on Bantam will have 3.7V as V per cell for their new chargers...

I just got a reply back from the battery manufacturer, and they confirmed that storing the packs at 3.7V/cell is OK and there should be no problems.

Thanks,
G
