IT FLIES!!!!

Well, off the gound and return and in one piece yet!! This was in my front yard and the wind swirling over the roof and twirling in my front yard sure didn't help trying to stay in one place but for a first hover trim was pretty close to spot on and I can't complain, now out to the field we go next!!

Nice. Just curious, the mains look like they sag an awful lot, but it may be an illusion.

Gear is spring loaded, front one sticks, they need stronger springs which are on order.

I had it out to the field last week, burned 5 gal of fuel in the AM and went back for another 2 in the evening. I removed mechs this past week for an inspection, all looks well, maybe be back at it this weekend.

I LOVE the way this thing flys, its like on rails and looks like a shark out of the water in the air. I even though of a flying tiger paint scheme but I think a flashy corp look would be better??

1/2 gallon per 12 minute flight, 10 flights, 120 minutes of air time, I was at the field about 3 hours, it was so much fun I went back for more later! Spring is my favorite time to fly, not to hot not to cold, and no bugs!!

Nice ride! You have done a great job putting this together.

Would love to see video of it "riding the rails" at your field.

Need some one to do the video. I fly in a field about a block from my house, except for my 8 year old a loner most times. My local AMA field is all plank flies, they hate helies, plus I don't have my turbine waiver because no one in my neck of the woods flies turbines let alone turbine helies.

The heli is apart right now, I'm adding landing lights, position lights, strobes, etc and another once over safety check up. Hopefully be back at the field soon, try and get a video then.

Camera decided to shut it self off, damn auto off function!! The setting looked so real I had to post it. Try for a better video again maybe tonight. SUCKS that I have to use a tripod and no one to man the camera!!

Way cool! What did your neighbor think about it when he pulled out of his driveway?

Not my neighbors car, neighbor was the video guy, that was the street through the neighborhood. I fly my electric helies (Vertol, 400 rex, etc in front yard often, neighbors are used to that, but when it's a turbine cars stop for them!! The flying field video is way cooler, this thing flies like on rails, pure pleasure to fly, I just need to let go and fly it like I fly my helies I don't worry about crashing!!
