Hi All,

Has anyone used the Align governor that comes with some of the T-rex 600 and 700s? Any experience. I have one that I would like to use. How does it compare to what is out there?

thanks,

I have an atg governor and an align governor. The atg is installed on my evo 50 and the align is installed on my vibe 50. The align works great. The atg has more programable features. The align is simpler but when using it on a heli with a different gear ratio than the 600n or 700n, the chart won't match the headspeeds for setting it. You'll have to get someone to tach the head while you adjust it. I use a 12fgh radio and I use the governor menu in it to set it up using percentages instead of headspeed in the radio.

Man, I miss the eighties.

I'm curios, what did the multigov do to your engine to make it better and what did the align governor do to make you consider the performance was low?

i have the g-600 on my 600n. it functions ok, but it doesnt hold rpm's the way i'd like. its a good limiter, but i think next time ill pick up a real governor.

ten grand in helis and all i can do is hover

The g-600 is a governor and not a limiter. Or at least I thought a limiter didn't allow you to gover over the set speed, but did allow you to go below set speed. What governor works better for you? I use an atg and the align, and I find the performance to be about the same. I like the atg better because of the set up options.

I am running it with my 700 as well. I find it holds speed great during demanding maneuvers but it will let you overspeed for a little while doing fast descents.. Not a terrible problem but for those that run on the ragged edge of the rpm range it could cause some issues if you dont stay loaded all the time.

My only real complaint about the governor is the same one I have for the GV1.. Come on bring on the coals man!!! For this reason I will continue to fly TJ's when you flip them to a set RPM they bring it! none of this slow wind up to get there.. I usually wait till the last minute to bail out and I dont leave 4 seconds for the RPM to come back.

Good point Wa11banger. The RCE-600 ia a bit slow to wind and I find it does overspeed a little more than a TJ or Multigov. But for the money, it's a damn good deal. I give it the Best Buy award!

the overspeeding in decent is my major problem. as i am still in hover/ FF stages, in a collective pump, hitting the top and coming back down, it seems to really speed up. i can stop it by banging the collective again, but thats not what i expected.
however, i did get a great deal on it here on RR.

oH yah rexxigpilot bang for the buck award it cant be beat. Align is giving a functionality at a cost lower than any other competitor and it does do its job quite well. Like stated above it holds fantastic when being thrashed.. I can even live with the overspeed in fast descent. But I gotta have my wind up when I need it

I wont be throwing it away or selling it off but all my other birds are keeping thier TJ's
