I went to R/C Depot last week and bought a TRex 250 Super Combo. I saw this thing and just had to buy one.

Well, I got it done and it flies better then I could have ever hoped for considering it's small size. During the build, I upgraded the main shaft bearing mounts to the metal ones. I also put on the metal tail rotor servo holder.

The only thing I hate about small helicopters is all the wires sticking out an running all over the place. So, I took a little extra time and "hid" my wires in a little box I made. With the canopy on, you cant see any wires sticking out from the right side. And the left side only has a couple visible.

I absolutely love my 250 :0) -- I borrowed 1 of your pics to draw on and show ya -- be very cautious of the screw shown -- after removeing the batterya few times it wore right through the frame :0( -- But then I cut the frame a bit and lowered my batt tray at this time :0)

I've only got 2 flights on it so far and I'm still trying to get the gain dialed in. But, it holds pretty good in a hover. I'll need to get it moving in fast foward flight to really see how it's doing. But, it's raining out here today.

Looks good. Black felt-tipped marker will keep your eyes from being drawn to the exposed wires. Finishing touch: Knife, file, emory board or sandpaper the trimmed ends of the servo arms to a nice radius.

Have you had any trouble with your 2.4GHz antenna routed like that ? It looks like the ends are not in a 90 degree anlge as recommended and pretty close to carbon frames ?

Thanks

Both antenna run out the back of the receiver and then bend 180 degrees and run foward. One of them continue to run straight towards the front of the canopy. The second one turns 90 degrees and is set between the side frames.

So far, I have had no problems of any kind. I realize the side frames are carbon, but since the antenna lay on the bottom of the cross frame (which is made of plastic) I figure it would be OK. Also, since this heli is very small, I plan on flying it in real close 99% of the time.

If I have any problems, I will post them right away.
