I'm looking for an all in one charger for my workbench. I see several different ones in the mags, which way should I go?

IMO, the best bang for the buck and features is the Electrifly Triton EQ, and it has a AC cord for home use. Here's the link: http://www.electrifly.com/chargers/gpmm3155.html

The one mentioned above is good unless you want to charge large lipos.

Its only rated at 63 watts on DC. On a 6 cell 5000 mah lipo that is not even 1c charge rate. If you arent charging anything big its no big deal.

How big?

I've only been in this a about a year and staring to get a collection of different sized batteries. this is the one I've been looking at so I thought I'd confirm it. Now my question is, if this one would only do up to a certain size, (a) do I need one with a larger capacity, (b) which one would that be?

check out the Graupner "Ultramat" series. They are well built and have more then one model to fill the bill for the features you need.

For all my smaller packs (11.1 and lower) I use the PolyCharge 4 -- I can charge 4 batts at once. It doesnt have a built in balencer but I also have the 4 equinox balencers to go with it :0)

Well you need to ask yourself how much you want to spend first and second what is the largest capacity lipo you will be charging. That would help alot or alot of guys can recommend alot of different chargers. Also are you looking for a duo cahrger?

Ihave 4 different chargers and of them all my triton2eq is my favorite.true it will only do 6s packs, but i run 12s on all my larger birds, so my pair of triton2eq's work awesome, the best balancer of all my chargers, the only charger i've seen that will balance as good is the mege charger my buddy has witch is a hyperion due knock off.
i have a pair of thunder power 6s chargers and i thought they rocked tilli put batteries that came off them that were "fully charged"on my triton2eq's and every time the eq would put 150 to 200 mah in the pack wile balancing them "perfectly"especially on packs with one or more tired cells.
the astro 109's i have are the worst charger I've seen.
Ihave a pair of triton jr's that have over a thousand charges on each one without a single issue, but they will only do a 4s pack.
And finally i just got a pair thunder power 1010's Awesome charger but the balancer isn't any better then my smaller thunder powor chargers.
I'm planning on getting a pair of the new protech 1010b+
chargers,300 watts, 10 amps 10s lipo 12s a123,inagrated balancer, upgradeable,$179.00The specs are awesome.
Amain is carring them.

true it will only do 6s
not really unless you consider 1/2c charge rate good enough.2 hours is a long time to charge a battery IMHO.

ive been pretty happy with my tp-610. up to 6s lipo, and will do most everything else. comes with a balance board that has most balancer tabs on it. not a bad price @ $129, you just gotta come up with a power supply.

more choices

I have the Hyperion i0610 Net and am happy with it.
My friend has the Thunder Power 1010 and that does the job for him.

Me thinks either one works well.

Thr triton 2 eq witch is what i have is a 120 watt charger so at 6s it's good for 4.7 amps.
And the thunderpower charger is only a 50 watt charger , and if you use it at over 50watts the screnn will go bad so that after about 20 minutes you can't reaD the screen.
It has no fan to keep it cool.
I would go for the standerd triton eq for 129.00 with it's fan and better balancer first.
or the hyperion 610 net, it is 250 watts and only 159.00

I also have the Hyperion i0610 Net, very good charger, built in balancer. Make sure you purchase optional adapter for the various connectors.
