Thanks god the parcel was very well wrapped and packet so no damage ,instead of the box from two weeks ago that was complete destroyed part where out of the box lucky it had nothing to do with this baby.
The tubine mechanics had arrived allready last week so this one was not in the box that's displayed.

Here are some pics.

The Predator flys like it is on rails, you'll love it!!!
Those blades you have my be a bit balloon like, they look like semi-sim to me. MAH G2 810mm are perfect for it.

Tomorrow i hope to start the turbine for the first time. I will try these blade if they wont feel good i gone change them for the MAH.

The only thing I'm concerend of is the balance of the heli, i will use a 3S lipo to get the kerostart working with the normal 6 cell it won't start.

I hope to get some pictures tomorrow.

Also with the previous wrenn I had I was just flying on the throthle curve on idle 1 and 2, so the jetcat has a govenor so i think the throttle curve need just to be straight correct?

Kind regards

Ed

PS Thanks Ron finished the building.

yep the idle throttle curve wants to be 100% straight line.

i assume you have done 'learn rc'.

Yes i did allready learn RC

So if I want to fly in idle 1 and 2 I just can make a staight line of 90% in 1 en 100% in 2 to get different headspeed?

Thanks

Ed

ED, Both idle up 1 and 2 are 100% straight line accross, headspeed is controlled from your ECU, programmed by your GSU and transmitter

no. you have the aux lead from the ecu plugged into the aux channel on your receiver.

then you learn rc. you do the usual low throttle stick then high etc. then the display asks for the aux switch to be operated, ist in position 1 then 2.
then you go into the turbine limits menu and you can set two different head speeds, its a bit tricky to do you have to operate the idle sw on the transmitter whilst doing it.

yep what peter said.

you should have the throttle curves for idle 1 and 2 both on 100%

But to set the head speed, you first have to programme your gear ratio into the ECU...There is a sub menu in the turbine limits menu for altering the gear ratio of the helicopter so as to set the head speed. Access it by entering the turbine limits menu, then press limits and + simultaneously and release.

Correct Matt this has allready been done by the previous owner who had setup the correct gearing. I just use the throtthle channel later I will use also the aux but first I want to give her a start.

Thanks

AUX connected

ED, If you are just going for the first start on your latest turbine OK
You will need the AUX connected to go any further, it s what controls headspeed in idle up 1 and 2
Good luck with the start up

Lipo option in ECU

ED, you mention in earlier post about useing LI-PO's have you changed the settings in your ECU, not sure if you have that option with your version, also change to the higher kero start voltage setting

Wel today the weather was fine just some winds.

I had a issue with the aux channel and just switch the Throttle to a slider, i just wanted to fly with a single headspeed.

Wel the first attempt i thought i set the correct gearing in the ecu the helicopters started to spin and ended at 1850 whow wath a noise the blades make but asome. At 1850 i was a little affraid but so much power to lift the heli. Wel i switched of the jet and changed the headspeed to a little lower once we measured during flight it was 1570 still a lot of power and the heli feels so stable.

Hope soon to post some video.

I think you shouln´t use a 3S LiPo. I have eard that this is not good for the ECU even if you have that option in the software. Use a 2S with 25C discharge rate or above and you will not have any problem. Change the ECU to 2S.
