Xavi, I think you are running the same R-22 rotor head that I am and a part that might help very much in the heads stability is below. Joe Howard at EastCoast Scale Heli. recomended putting on a set of ,Vario number 79/9 ,flybar weights. Wow do they make a difference ! The head just locks in so much better. Another thing is to make sure that you keep the big ball links on the flybar clean internally and lube with some silicon oil of some type.I just went thru mine after about 6-8 hours of use and they were very dirty from dust and such and cleaned and lubed them and wow what a difference ! I am sure you alreday know this but just thought I'd pass it on. Wayne

Awesome build Xavi! Do you mind sharing what you used to simulate those hydraulic lines and fittings? I too would like to build an Air Crane next year. I don't have the patience to do all those rivets though

Air-Crane answers

I´m sorry for the delay, I´ve just arrived home and I've seen your questions right now.

To WAYNE:
My Air-Crane has an R22 Rotor head, flybar without counterweight.
She has taked off only four times with forty minutes of total flying.
Silicon Oil of course.

To CLETUS:
All tubes are brass made, and the fittings are all late made in aluminium. And everything is joined with epoxy adhesive.
I´ve spent a lot of time building this chopper.
Send me your email If you are interested of building a chopper like mine, for me to send you building process pics.

PD: Take a look at my last project! It flies nice.
It´s a VARIO big Ranger with electric starter. It weights 10 kg.

Regards.

Xavi

XAVI, Thats a beautiful Ranger. Is it the 1004 Big Jet Ranger III ? If so I have the same model that i have just started flying.I didn't build this one,but it is a great flyer. Do you know what yours weighs ?I still want to build one of the BIG 1/4 scale Rangers one of these days.

XAVI, forget the request for weight as when i went back to your post I saw the weight.Mine weighs 9.75 lbs.. I haven't done any auto's with it but I will soon. I'll catch a day when we have a good steady 15-20 mph wind to add some lift for the first autos. Wayne
