After a considerable amount of time off I'm getting back into the hobby. My last flying heli was an Ergo 60 when they were all the rage and heading hold gyros were new. I'm looking to take advantage of the sale to get a Pantera and a another for spare parts.

I have a Tiger 50 Mark I that has been assembled (missing clutch and fan) but never flown. Do people still fly the old Tigers?

Would there be any point on listing it in hopes that someone might need some spare parts?

Yes there are still a bunch of happy Tiger people out there. If you list it in the classifieds it will find a home.

Thanks, I wasn't sure if the Tigers were still being flown.

Moreover, I have fans and clutches in stock as well as everthing else needed to keep it flying. Granted, we've made updates, but these can be done as crash damage discttes by and large. Also, consider keeping it readyto fly with low end equipment, e.g. equipped with training gear and a buddy box setup for guiding somebody new into the sport (if they express an interest in your Panteras).

I still have my Tiger. Mine's and MK 1-1/2, or a Pantiger maybe.

I have one of the original tigers before the MKII, so the original tail grips (still going strong) but I replaced the spindle, grips, flybar cage, flybar and paddles with that from a Pantera.

Very predictable solid flyer. I wouldn't know 3D if it bit me in the butt, but I love it's fast flight ability--big loops, 540 degree stall turns (I've done 900 degree turns--the tail can move fast enough to get it done because of the fast tail gearing). Rolls are axial (and I'm frankly a bad pilot, since I get a couple of gallons in a year). You might keep the Tiger as a back up ship, since you may not get a lot of money for it.

must have been a downdraft
