Just having a lot of bad luck with heli lately.

Start with Charger quit on me, then manufacturer from china MaxPro was nice enough to ship me one, but it was beta version so it had some issues, they're sending me another one soon as they're done with final ones next week. That's good.

Heli problems, could not get it to fly smooth before I crash it last time. Main gear issues, belt issues, tail issues, motor mount issues, head slop issues, tail servo issues. though I fix them all but no, today I was flying it slowly and it went into uncontrollable piro and crashed. broke the blades and skids, I think a servo got wacked.

turn out that belt was slipping on tail gear real bad, tension is GOOD. I got new tail servo in order, along with CopterX head, until copterX arrive from HK and new charger I'm not even gonna touch it!

I hear ya. Last time I took my Belt-CP out to practice it got about 5 feet off the ground and just pulled back, right and spun and crashed. This is after a minor rebuild and lengthy tune up in the living room to get everything squared and setup. Before I went out I changed my throttle curve. Afterwards I realized I mixed up my pitch and throttle curves, oops So I decided to put on the metal head and tail I purchased months ago and the head is moving roughly and the tail won't go together because the idler pulley bearing is smaller than the cross bar it fits onto

I am taking a break and getting my 1/5th scale gas truck ready.

zaw: We feel your pain -- hopefully things will get back together...

Spackle: Check that you did not overtighten the screws that hold the flybar holder to the head. It is fairly easy to overtighten (just make sure you use thread-lock when you back them out a little).

Regarding the tail, apparently the CNC tail needs a new, larger pulley bearing. If you still have the plastic tail parts, put them back on. The CNC tail really looks like it is just bling, since the moving parts are still the original plastic...

Happy Flying!

Tutelar-rc,

Is it common knowledge that the E-Sky metal tail assembly comes with a totally useless pulley bearing?

And yes you're correct about the critical moving tail parts. When I finally decided to install the metal tail and realized I was only getting a metal housing I was not happy

Yeah,, reason I got metal tail because my plastic tail bearing holders got damaged, on a very hard crash!!. I gotta dig thought my pile of part, I might have one never know. I do have new pulley for tail, still hasn't got around to it yet, it has been windy for last days but I should have work on it because today was warm and calm. tomorrow is rain.

CNC tail bearing are same as CP2 seesaw bearings. I found out after It went out.
